One of the biggest struggles in our modern world isn’t that we don’t have access to information. It’s that we often times have too much information. Sifting through thousands sometimes millions of links to get after what you have been looking for is time consuming and makes managing information difficult.
It was not long ago that I was looking for a study which was buried some fifty pages deep. Even when using the most specific search query the result was still hidden. What’s more is the study is now no where to be found.
The goal of The Whole Magazine Redoubt is simple. Provide a place where people can not only find useful information on a variety of topics, but also contribute to the cause.
Technical details
The Whole Magazine Redoubt is a part of the main domain. A full separate directory dedicated to just its goal. Using a wiki format, it allows users to contribute edits and more information to its pages. Users are also able to contribute their research and data to custom pages.
Execution
The Whole Magazine Redoubt will hold itself to the highest standards of information transparency. Additions by its staff and its users will be held to the same standard. Citations are mandatory. Labeling conjecture and speculation is mandatory. Opinions and analysis are absolutely permitted under the discussion pages and within pages’ specifically labeled.
All of this in hopes to aid in the abilities of everyday people access to information that can get swept away. It will aid in collecting information on any subject. Regardless of political affiliation. Republican or democrat. Its aim is information. Good information. Reliable information.
