On a state-controlled Rossiya 1 TV channel, a professor made an assertion stating that ‘Nuclear war is inevitable’.
March 15th — March 17th saw Putin reelected. And with it, a stark warning of ‘full-scale World War 3’ if Western troops enter Ukraine. Russian political analyst, Dmitry Evstafiev, declared that Putin’s deployment of nuclear arms against Europe is inescapable.
It was alleged that Russia’s plan is “to change the future of Europe”. As defined by killing 200 million to 250 dead or maimed Europeans reported by Daily Star.
Evstafiev had also suggested that the US might avoid the worst, “By the way, Americans are fine, they are OK… well, maybe some cloud with reach.”
Russian President Putin warned that the US risks nuclear war if it sends troops to Ukraine. He claimed in a State of the Union address that the US and NATO are preparing to strike Russian Territory. He also announced that his new RS-28 ICBM is ready for use. Weighing 220 metric tonnes, with a supposed range of 6,200 to 11,180 miles, these are the likely locations that Russia would target in a nuclear exchange with Russia.
- The Pentagon
- Naval Station Norfolk
- United States Strategic Command
- VLF Array Lualualei
- Kirtland Air force Base
- Warren Air Force Base
There are likely location that didn’t get placed on this list.
One thing is certain, though. How credible are Putin’s threats of Nuclear war? It is always wise to take your enemy’s threats serious and prepare for the worst. It could be a bluff to provide more security for his efforts in Ukraine, in hopes that Ukraine wouldn’t receive more boots on the ground. Putin is smart. And he knows that Russia would have a very difficult time if not outright fail against the United States in a ground and air battle.
The threats of nuclear war are nothing new from Putin. He has been threatening nuclear war since the conflict in Ukraine began. His pundits on the state-controlled news channel are likely another method of spreading fear and doubt into the minds of westerners. Putin understands any act of nuclear aggression could and would result in the absolute annihilation of the most if not all the population of his citizens and military capabilities.
